Hyperpigmentation serum Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Dual Serum 30ml Melanin is a natural pigment that gives colour to skin. Exposure to sunlight, hormonal influences and ageing can cause an increase in melanin production and trigger dark marks and dark spots that make skin look uneven. Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Dual Serum brings together two serums that work in different ways: (1) Thiamidol®: an effective and patented ingredient that acts at the root cause of dark spots is clinically proven to reduce dark marks, preventing their re-appearance with regular usage (2) Concentrated Hyaluronic Acid: one of skin’s most effective moisturising substances helps skin to attract and retain moisture The light emulsion is clinically and dermatologically proven to reduce dark spots and prevent their re-appearance while renewing skin’s look. How to Use

Apply daily, morning & evening, on cleansed face. Gently massage into skin before moving on to other steps in your skincare routine. More efficacy when used in combination with Anti-pigment Day SPF 30. Apply products with Thiamidol maximum of four times per day. Avoid direct contact with eye. Did you know? Apply a toner such as Eucerin DematoCLEAN Clarifying Toner (for all skin types) to prepare skin for your care products.

Special Care and Care

Moisturize skin with Eucerin Anti-Pigment Day SPF 30 in the morning and Eucerin Anti-Pigment Night in the evening. For best results apply Eucerin Anti-Pigment Dual Serum and/or Eucerin Anti-Pigment Spot Corrector before your moisturizer. The Serum and the Spot Corrector should only be used once a day (in the morning or evening).

Additional protection and/or instant complexion correction

Eucerin Anti-Pigment Day SPF 30 offers UVB (SPF 30) and UVA protection. If you are looking for additional protection Eucerin’s superior sun protection range includes both high and very high SPF products that are specially formulated to address different skin concerns. Can I use Eucerin Anti-Pigment Dual Serum alongside other Eucerin moisturizers or will it only deliver results if used with the moisturizers in the Anti-Pigment range?

For best results in terms or reducing hyperpigmentation we recommend that you use Eucerin Anti-Pigment Dual Serum once a day and in combination with other products in our Anti-Pigment range. The serum will still work if used with other moisturizers, it’s just that it may well take longer for you to see results.

If you experience hyperpigmentation but it is not your primary skin-aging concern then you may want to apply Eucerin Anti-Pigment Dual Serum before one of our anti-aging care products such as:

Can I use both Eucerin Anti-Pigment Dual Serum and Eucerin Anti-Pigment Spot Corrector at the same time?

Yes, you can. Eucerin Anti-Pigment Dual Serum is effective at boosting the results of the Anti-Pigment day and night creams on your whole face, neck and décolleté. Eucerin Anti-Pigment Spot Corrector has been specially formulated to fade individual, smaller areas of concern. The two products work well together but you should only use a maximum of four applications of products containing Thiamidol per day.

You could use one in the morning followed by Eucerin Anti-Pigment Day SPF 30 and the other in the evening followed by Eucerin Anti-Pigment Night, or you could use both at the same time followed by the appropriate day or night cream. If you apply both together, use the serum first, then the spot corrector followed by the appropriate care product.

Can I use Eucerin Anti-Pigment Dual Serum instead of a moisturizer?

Eucerin Anti-Pigment Dual Serum contains concentrated Hyaluronic Acid which improves skin moisturization. It has been formulated to boost the effectiveness of our pigment-reducing moisturizers. For best results we recommend that you use it in combination with other products in the Eucerin Anti-Pigment range.

Eucerin Anti-Pigment Dual Serum does not protect skin from the sun. As the sun’s rays are a key contributor to hyperpigmentation it’s important to wear an appropriate sun protection product, even on cloudy days. We recommend that, if you apply Eucerin Anti-Pigment Dual Serum in the morning, you follow it with Eucerin Anti-Pigment Day SPF 30 to help fade existing acne marks and protect skin from the sun, thereby reducing further sun-induced pigmentation issues. For intense sun exposure choose a higher protection factor from the Eucerin sun protection range.

    Wanted to Love It, But My Skin Said No
    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted this to be a win. The Eucerin Anti-Pigment Dual Serum comes in a sleek, hygienic dual-chamber pump that looks high end and keeps the ingredients fresh, major points there. It blends thiamidol and hyaluronic acid, which sounds like a dream combo on paper for targeting dark spots and adding moisture. But… the texture let me down big time. It feels smooth at first, but once it dries, it starts to peel and flake like crazy. Even just brushing my hand across my face would make the product come off in little bits, which made layering anything on top (or even just touching my skin) a nightmare. The scent is mild and clean, not overwhelming at all, which I appreciated. But after a few days of use, I started breaking out in small clusters, especially on my cheeks and forehead — areas I don’t usually have issues with. I tried reducing use, but it didn’t help. As for effectiveness on pigmentation, I didn’t get far enough to see results. The irritation and flaking made it hard to stick with it. So while I respect the science behind the ingredients and love the idea, it just didn’t mesh with my skin. Giving it 2 stars for the thoughtful formulation and packaging, but sadly, it didn’t live up to the hype for me.
