  • Glycine Soja Oil

Glycine Soja Oil, also known as Soybean Oil, is a valuable lecithin-rich oil with a high content of Linoleic Acid (an Omega-6 fatty acid). It also contains α-linolenic acid, Tocopherols and Phytosterols and is a good source of Omega-3. The high lecithin content results in excellent skin moisturisation as Soybean Oil emulsifies water and binds it into the horny layer.

FAQ

Is Eucerin AtoControl Bath and Shower Oil suitable for babies?

Yes, it is fine for newborn babies or older but use as a bath additive rather than applying directly to their skin.

What do you mean by a ‘flare-up’ and `the period between flare-ups’?

Broadly speaking, Atopic Dermatitis has two different phases. A ‘flare-up’ is one of the names used to describe the acute, active phase when skin is at its most irritable. It can feel intensely itchy, you may experience a burning sensation and skin can look dry, red and flaky. Between these acute, flare-up phases are periods of time when your skin is relatively calm and less irritated. This period is also known as the non-acute, non-active or interval phase. The length of each phase varies greatly depending on the individual, but products specially formulated to treat and care for atopic skin − such as those in the Eucerin AtoControl range − can help to extend the period between flare-ups and offer relief during acute flare-ups.

Is Atopic Dermatitis the same as Eczema?

Dermatitis and Eczema are the same thing: collective terms for inflammatory changes in the skin. As such, they include many different dermatological diseases. Atopic Eczema and Atopic Dermatitis are also the same thing.

Will Eucerin AtoControl Bath and Shower Oil make my skin feel greasy?

No. Atopic skin is extremely dry so it will help replenish your skin but will not leave it feeling oily or greasy.

    Much better than i expected
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Im not normally the biggest fan of shower oils but this one was surprisingly different, it still has a slight lather to it making it feel much more soapy! The only thing i would add is a slight scent, something natural but i do understand the scent can make things worse for some people. Ive not noticed a huge difference in my skin yet as i think its more a long term use but i have really noticed a difference after a shower especially on my legs.

    Eucerin bath/shower oil
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this oil for the last couple of weeks now and I have to say it's not bad it isn't a thick oil and you don't get out of the shower feeling like an oil slick, it takes a few showers for it to build up the moisture in your skin so don't expect it to stop the itching right away I even used it on my face. There is no strong perfume smell and I would say anyone can use this oil I used it on my 4year old and she was fine with it. Just remember this is a light oil nothing like e45 or anything else of that nature so great for the onset of the dreaded itch and it does calm the skin down. I would buy this oil for the change of seasons ( if you know you know) as a preventative of a flair up of eczema.

    Nice and soft
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very soft and cozy! A must now that is winter to clean the skin but without stripping it, i like how easy it is to emusilfy, the only think that i didn't like ideas how its smells.
